Just out of curiosity where was the fish purchased from? I have a similar looking fish that I believe to be a hybrid, it was sold to me as a pundamilia nyererei from an online dealer. Here's some pictures I just took. He isn't showing any of his black barring currently and his red is a lot more intense in real life, he is hard to photograph.
I got mine at a fish store in plaistow nh I also got a female I will post a pic of the female later and see if anyone can id it....
