As you requested in my mota thread..I'm looking at your RTM....at a glance the one in the pic to the left of the pleco looks male and the one in the pic near the heater looks female ... at that size both mine had the horizontal black blotch stripe running across their sides but only the female had the vertical black stripes come in and go as dark as yours in the second pics....my male had them just not as defined......lets see some more pics....and nice dog...it seems that many people who have cichlids have bully type breed dogs......
Didn't even see this post until just now, IDK how.....The RTMs are about 3" for the larger one, maybe 3.25" and the smaller one is probably 2.5"....I can see speckling on the gill plate of the larger one, but if that means male why is that one w/ spots more reds/auburns/burgundy/sienna colors while the one without spots just basically looks black and gold to me. As far as he dogs I guess we like the similarities they share w/ cichlids.....personally I always just been a fan of badass animals. If I had my way, I'd work w/ Crocs 7 days a week

Frank, are you sure there is not a small black line in the bottom of the Gill cover on the geo?
If not I would guess Abalios.
The acara looks like dimerus but could do with a clearer pic to be sure.

Don't ever recall seeing any black on it besides the dorsal/lateral spot.....when you say "dimerus" would that be Andinoacara or Cichlasoma or what?
Nice fish buddy
Thanx man
Yay I saw 2 cats. 49 more to go!
Don't forget the Golden CAE in the pix....still ppart of the 51 bottom-feeders and you can SORTA see my Morays, but they don't like light at all.
Beautiful pair Frank/Eric! How big are they? :D
Just little guys, male is about 4.5", female probably 3'' - 3.5" .....he's a good deal larger, the pix make her appear bigger than she really is. Does this help you sex better now?

well, that was worded oddly, but you get what I mean right? lol
