go with american made.
go with a charger with the v8 and awd. then add a turbo.
always go with american(pref dodge or chrysler)
just a story, have a 73 dodge dart swinger. had it sitting for over a year. gave it a jump the other day and pumped the gas 2 times! and it fired right up!! cant beat it

yea the only dodge i would buy would be pre 1975.... and why would i buy american made when they dont make anything i want... i mean i would love a new mustang but the idea of a well done up 4 banger driving around with the AC on at 25mpg city and flip of a switch 500 hp kinda turns me on. (before the litteral police chime in you know what i mean)


im probably gonna buy myself a brand new toyota pick up or maybe a nissan... looking at the models now would buy american i love ford trucks but there gas millage sucks... ill prob just purchase a 97-98 240sx and build it up to my specs... if i can also find a good subaru or used evo that needs work maybe ill buy that instead...
 
yeah i like the flip a switch and a ton a HP too. Buddy of mine has invested 25 grand not counting buying the car, and only has 302hp measured at the rear wheels. nissan 240z if i remember correctly. could be wrong. Dont know too much bout nissan. But dodge are good. Mustang is good too. got one now. not bad car. still charger comes with AWD and a nice sized V8. Supercharge it or turbocharge it and it would be a baaaaad beast. Just saying. Or go with a nice older dodge, stick a 440 under the hood, bore it out, stick a blower on it and make that beast stand on end. oh heck yeah!! thats the way to go.
 
to answer your question.. Evo if you want more power, however the STI sounds 25 times better with an exhaust......

Now.. Personal Opinion... for the 20-30 g's your gunna spend.... you can by a 04 Terminater cobra for prob 15 and put 5 grand into a twin turbo and your making some serious street cracking power.... and sounding boss doing so... Japanese cars are nice..but noone can compare to the sound and balls to the wall power from a bigass american V6 or V8........

If it were me I would explore german cars but again I'm a vw/audi enthusiast who now went to bmw for the first time and dont think I'm going back. I have had some sick(reasonably priced kinda sick) cars in the past including a loaded 6 spd 2008 vette and an audi RS4 recently and neither put a smile on my face the way my new M3 does. The fun factor behind the wheel just amazes me over and over. Sorry if I derailed your thread a bit but my .02

i have several V8 engines built up... i could easily build a mustang... im not looking for a v8 right now.... i would love a new cobra but not now.... i want something new and different... i cant argue the sound of american muscle it makes me :naughty: but not for me right now... time for a change...

your not the first to sudjest a bmw... my buddy has a m3 and it puts a smile on my face.... but i told my girl ill save the bmw for mid life crisis

i have been toying with the idea of a 97-98 240sx with r33 body kit and a rb26dett swap... a hell of alot more power than the sr20

doing this would also let me think practical and i could get my self the pick up im looking at or maybe a suv..
