I would go with the STI over the Evo, the STI looks more exotic out of the two and sounds better. Stock the STI is faster. But in all honesty i would take 03-04 SVT Cobra.

Yeah, you got me. As a matter of fact, I'm gonna go pull 6 plugwires off, just for the right effect. :D

And even a 2 rotor rotary uses 4 plugs. So just pull 4 off. Not 6.

Someones afraid of unconventional motors.. :uhoh:

Rotarys are such crap.. LOLZ:ROFL:

i couldnt get lucky enough to find a good 240z for cheap nor do i have the time to restore one...

That black 240z is hot!

let me explain something here... i am officially in the US NAVY.. i do not have time to restore a car or anything else... if i go sti or evo its basically a done deal... if i buy a new truck and think practicle and then buy a used 240 sx thats gonna be a project... advantage is i have friends who are very good mechanics and awesome with performance.. i can leave project 240 at home here and then we all can spec it up properly...helps one with his buissness and the other me and him are talking about a crx with my 2.2 and a turbo straight drag car...

yea i know i need the tranny... adds another few grand to it :( prob do a sr20 at first and if i need more power then swap out for the rd26 or maybe the rb30dett if i can find on for a good price...

Oh yeah, I forgot your S14's didn't come stock with SR20DET's.... :(

If you've got to do a swap then the RB26 would be fun, but I'd probably still go for the SR20 for a street car and focus on handling and useable power.

Whoa, thats neat. I had a 10 sec daily driver in high school (more than 10 years ago) .. using 20 year old parts! V8s for LIFE!!
Good for you. I bet it was a heap of **** that would get beaten by a stock civic on any race track with corners. V8 drag racing has to be about the most boring form of motorsport ever, in fact I'd rather watch golf. All you have to do is decide how fast you want the car to go, write the appropriate sized cheque, bolt the motor/parts on and go for it.

Drag racing in general is kinda like having a masty instead of having a beautiful woman; yeah its fun to do once in a while and gives you a bit of a thrill, bit its nowhere near as exciting as the "real thing"...
:D

Or you could just get an S2000...
