yes, thats what i meant... and if the farm has an online verification facility where you put the fish serial in to check if it is real...
 
LFS had a "malaysian red tail" without papers for sale today for only $100. it had the color of a Jar (body) and red fins with the red getting darker at the end of the fins... not sure what it was exactly but had left my phone in the car. Failry sized too for that price - he was about 13-15 inch.

like cooler says above...just be happy with what you have...only silvers and jardinis here in the u.s. love them too but who wouldnt want a red...any red...lol
