very nice tank. its kinda werid seeing a 12 foot 360 gal. where i work we got a 750 gall 6 footer.

Yup. It's weak with it's 2ft width + height. I would much rather go for a shorter length with wider width. IMO width and volume is way more important compared to length for monster sized fish. Don't take it personal though it's still a nice tank.

In my previous 1370 gallon post that tank is 11ft but has 4 times the gallons compared to this one.

Well, he did state he wanted a 4 foot wide tank, but since this tank is in his parents house, he had to fit the space constraints that he had. The only way he could do that was by going long and skinny.

I don't seen any problem with those dimensions on a tank. As long as the fish are happy (and I'm sure some of them will love the extra length for swimming) then it doesn't really matter, does it?

+1 on zip ties. The PVC is the better way to go. But if it dose not work out use two pairs of pliers to cinch down some medium size zip ties then cut the excess off. I have used them before in places I did not want metal hose clamps.
Do it right and get a panduit gun :headbang2

Well guys last night i found out my grouper wasn't doing well....

Sunday he was floating at the top and being picked on by my triggers. I went in to check on him last night only to find him in another tank laying on his side. I can't tell you how much this tore me up inside. He is totally alert and still breathing. Which is good but i think his swim bladder is messed up, or he has an air bubble i hope. I am really dissapointed i didn't get a phone call. This really sucks because i have now lost a clown trigger, undulated, and now my grouper is fighting to stay alive. The whole reason for me getting the 12ft was for him. It seems everything was for him, any of the others could have gone before him. I am freakin broken today. Ill have more updates today but man, this has struck a level of depression i never thought possible from my pet fish. Man i just don't even know what else to say about this.....

Thanks for all the comments i got some plastic hose clamps that are heavy duty and should work for what i need. Thanks again for all the suggestions and stuff. Setting this tank up is really going to make me think of group more :(.

I really hope he pulls through.

The bio spira i ordered should be here today or tomorrow so i can add my fish. I got 220lbs of dead live rock for 1lb. I pressure washed it last night and will add to the tank today along with my current live rock. Ill be seeding the tank with coraline today as well. This tank should pull together today and be ready to add the spira and fish. I hope i get this done today, but ill be dragging all day i can feel it.

Once again thanks guys and ill keep the pictures going for ya.
