I'll take what I can get. But I'm still sending that piece of cr*p Snow Fairy your way! It's supposed to snow here Monday and Tuesday. Think'n of moving to North Pole, probably less snow there! I'm mailing the Snow Fairy asap, like UPS Air delivery, expect at least some rain within the next few hours:D. *Just put your nice big tank out doors for a while, to get a 'natural' water change............:ROFL:But seriously, fishmamma, your tank looks really cool! Did you pick any more wood stuff for it yet?

you can actually control the flow by using the valves at the canister.
but yea i know you would have been calling me freaking out! thats why i figured i would save us both some trouble lol
how is everythin comin along?
did you get egg crate and fake plants?
oh i also forgot to say you could get a piece for the whole bottom and aqua scape your tank on your floor out of water by tieing everythin where you want it and how you want it and then just throw it in and cover it with sand. then nothin will get moved or knocked over by any of your monsters lol :)

Trouble.. me.. ? :D

All is good, except for my ocellifer cat has a white spot.. so I'm dosing with salt and increased temp.. I'll have to see how it goes for the next couple of days before I decide to medicate....:(

I've been thinking about your egg crate idea, and I want to do it.. I just need to find the right fake plants...

Another thing, and you ( or anyone else) tell me what you think... I love the PFS.. I just think the fish would be more comfortable in a darker sand.. plus a few of them are really faded and I think it's due to the light colored sand.. and I say this because only my male BP is faded, along with the two Blue Acara ... all the others are colorful.. or as colorful as they get...soooo

I want to add about 40lbs of black sand and take out 25-30lbs of the PFS.. what do you think?

Not sure about the sand color thing.............maybe you should do your background/back of tank first? Would it be easier to figure out which 'look' you like better then? **How about just putting up some black fabric or black paper behind your tank, "just to see", and then figure on the sand color after you've sort of seen the tank with the black behind it? I'm not saying to keep the paper or fabric on your tank, just saying to place it there for a few minutes, just to give yourself an idea of what it might look like later. :D Hope this helps!:D

A black background would help but the fish will still try their best to camouflage to the substrate, which is why darker makes them more colorful.

I would say try that idea of mixing the sands, and ill be checking to see how that goes because if it adds more colors to fish im all in for it. The fish in my 75 have also faded colors since putting PFS and replacing the black gravel.

Im pretty sure its not that the fish are stressed out or anything, but more of a matter of adapting to the tan substrate.

On another note i just noticed you have a fluval heater on one of the pics with your BP.

I have the same one, but remember these are not submersible, put it a little up between the 2 wave markings that it has!
