Actually it's a blue one... sort of opaline or something :) And, believe me or not, my friend, its colour is actually like that... :nilly: not my favourite fish but it was the only one I could use as model yesterday... the others were hiding...

About us not liking everything, well, that's the main idea behind this thread, right? ;) Or else, it would be: Oh, I love this! Thank you, I like yours too, etc... :screwy:

Playing with the ISO is interesting... but it's quite a sensitive setting that remains to be used with a lot of care... :)

Hmmm... kinda hard to maintain, eh? I don't mind the big water changes but having to remove all the wood then put them back... tough! BTW, didn't you get any tetras or something to put in there?

Yes indeed, AP is rather les popular... but the amount of information available there is tremendous... I've learned so much from the guys there... and their kindness is made of warm gold! :)

Ah! Snow and frost! :) One of these days I'll finally learn what these are! ;) Here we are currently going through a heat wave... the air is always hot and humid... makes sleeping nearly impossible...
It's taking everything out that's the pain, as it's only a small tank the water change bit is a breeze.

I'm glad you agree that everything should not be 'great' 'fab' etc.

Odd gourami then, normally either blue or gold, maybe a cross breed

Whoa! I never knew that GGs had teeth!

It's weird how clean your glass look until you see how it really is in your pictures...
Exodons are the only ones that develop teeth, between 11-13'' normally

One looks a little washed out, still the detail you've managed to get around the mouth is great.
Two has too much background 'noise' in it for me but again, great detail in the fish.
Three, I'm sure there are many technical things wrong with it but I don't care it looks fantastic:)

An Egyptian idol! :D She's beautiful!

What happened to Jack?
I'll pass on the regards;)

Jack was found by a neighbour, on the fields behind the house curled up and struggling to breath. Took her to the vets and they put her on a drip and tried to do something for her but she slowly got worse and worse and we had her put down the day after. They couldn't tell us what happened, she either got a kick from someone, run over by a bike or poisoned. They wanted something silly like £200 for an autopsy, she's buried next to the new pond.

Went to BestBuy this afternoon to get my nephew a X-Box 360 controller, We got my sister a Sony P&S that doesnt take the pic till the sensor sees teeth:screwy: Go figure huh? Hey it's the one she wanted...shes too busy entertaining and being a great hostess, to do anything but point and shoot...

And then there it was...all in it's display...Taaaa Daaaaa the NIKONS...I almost, sooooo close almost took one home...Had to fight the urge sooo bad...The only thing that I could think of was this Thread...
You guys just don't know how close I was to ruining my Christmas budget...

I got to do more research, Lenses are major dollars, but if/when I do this I want it all, remote tank top flash, macro wideangle, everything...

And I thought fishkeeping was addicting?! I haven't even scratched the surface yet...

Zen, if you want it all I say wait. I've no idea of your photography experience but I was getting so used to the manual settings on my fuji I was just starting to slowly find out it's limitations and it was starting to irritate me, hence why I got the new one. The jump between the two is just overwhelming at times but I wanted something that would take an age to learn how to use properly and would also not need upgrading hence why I only got the one lens(for now;)).

I offer the same advise to you, get a really good camera and a really good lens and learn how to get the max out of them before getting more lenses etc. Look at Loulou for example, already pretty handy when it comes to taking pictures and the new camera took them to the next level but still he's had it for nearly year(I think) and is still learning and experimenting. If you went out and bought everything for it you'd spend more time changing things around than actually taking picture, just MO.
