The LouLou v Yanbbrox photo thread

Zen, if you want it all I say wait. I've no idea of your photography experience but I was getting so used to the manual settings on my fuji I was just starting to slowly find out it's limitations and it was starting to irritate me, hence why I got the new one. The jump between the two is just overwhelming at times but I wanted something that would take an age to learn how to use properly and would also not need upgrading hence why I only got the one lens(for now;)).

I offer the same advise to you, get a really good camera and a really good lens and learn how to get the max out of them before getting more lenses etc. Look at Loulou for example, already pretty handy when it comes to taking pictures and the new camera took them to the next level but still he's had it for nearly year(I think) and is still learning and experimenting. If you went out and bought everything for it you'd spend more time changing things around than actually taking picture, just MO.

Sorry I only had 2, one is mine and the other one was for Lou:) The braclet was the consaltion price as I couldn't get hold of another sticker(yet;)) .
I hear ya brother...I was overwhelmed by the fact that all the things I see in the viewfinder, I seldom get to see in image form...I've been looking at Asian Arowana images for years and the ones that are top notch are from DSLR...cameras... Maybe it's just, I need a new toy to play with or something...
I will be able to swing it this next quarter...

I know if I buy Photo gear at one time I'll be able to get a better price...Like i was saying I need to do some research, to figure out what I want....thanks for the advice..

Probably best if the view finder is too much that you don't press the menu button;) Or for that matter pick up the manual expecting it to be in 30 different languages and find out it's all 278 pages of English!:WHOA:

Just three for today... been too busy with work lately...

Odd gourami then, normally either blue or gold, maybe a cross breed
Odd indeed... and, yeah, its most probably a cross-breed or something... that picture was taken just after I've put the light on in the tank... I need to get some more pictures of when it shows its full colour...

Exodons are the only ones that develop teeth, between 11-13'' normally
More pictures of those teeth please! :)

One looks a little washed out, still the detail you've managed to get around the mouth is great.
I had the D-lighting on... I guess that was what was washing out the colours... It's great for outdoor pictures but definitely not for aquarium photography...

Two has too much background 'noise' in it for me but again, great detail in the fish.
Too many particles in the water... and I was feeling too lazy to clean the picture in post-processing (cloning, etc..)...

Three, I'm sure there are many technical things wrong with it but I don't care it looks fantastic:)
I really love that picture too - didn't care for settings, etc... just had to shoot these two guys in that pose! :)

Loulou takes amazing pictures, I just try too;)
I do try my best and I'm learning everyday :) And it makes no doubt that you will very soon take better pictures than mine with that beast of yours, my friend! ;)

Jack was found by a neighbour, on the fields behind the house curled up and struggling to breath. Took her to the vets and they put her on a drip and tried to do something for her but she slowly got worse and worse and we had her put down the day after. They couldn't tell us what happened, she either got a kick from someone, run over by a bike or poisoned. They wanted something silly like £200 for an autopsy, she's buried next to the new pond.
So sorry to hear that, my friend... :(
