The power of Milk Crates!

Yeah, I don't know which I prefer: that tank with one piece of "decor"...or the same tank with literally nothing in it but the fish. The phrase "Nothing to see here!" comes to mind.

I wonder how many times that little pagoda had to be moved before the "scape" was perfected. And those mismatched-size sponge filters almost have a Zen quality to them; mesmerizing...:)

Esox, I have a plan in mind for a tank decoration coming up...you will love it! :)

If you've finally replaced that little old diving guy ornament, the one you had for years and your wife accidently broke/discarded it, then i'm sorry to disappoint you, but no, I won't love it! They're idiotic, lol.

If it's something completely different, then you've got my attention, lol.

No, that's not it; I don't like those either. I liked that one in particular for strictly sentimental reasons, but would never consider replacing it. Gotta admit, though, if someone pointed at a mountain of trash and could convince me that my little buddy were in it, I would probably grab a shovel...but again, for sentimental reasons only.

My new one is now completed and ready to go; I was literally working on it just this morning, so this thread was very apropos.

And when I said you would love it...what I meant was that you would hate it...:)

And, just for the record: she did not "accidentally" do anything with the diver; she purposely picked it up, placed it into the garbage, and removed my single oldest tangible piece of personal aquariological history from my life. After decades, I was suddenly bereft of the option of looking up and seeing that little putz threatening me with his knife and stealing the priceless treasure chest. I will never forgive her, and intend to milk this for a long, long time. :)

I have intentions of one day building a "funky" tank. Cheesy ornamental crap and bright colors will be the theme. Though a lot of folks would insist my scaping already brings the funk.

I actually enjoy bare tanks too. Ive been trending more minimalist recently with decor. I do insist on the bottom being covered with something though. I like the tiled look and ive been experimenting with different epoxies and coatings on some of my tanks.

Yes, lol. This is very true but the same can be said of all the hobbyists who insist on decorating their tanks in the same cheap, ugly and easy manner, lol.
Ugh, yeah, all those people throwing rocks and sticks in their tanks that they found for free laying on the ground...

There's a whole range of ornaments that are crashed planes and ships that are pretty cool...

No kidding, right? Those dummies miss out on the chance to pay ridiculous sums for rocks and sticks that somebody else found for free laying on the ground!
