The real skinny on fish food..

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I'm actually using all 3 Hikari, Omega, and NLS right now. Mixture of Hikari and Omega for my larger fish, NLS growth formula for my grow outs. The grow outs are growing reasonably well and are starting to show color and they're all active and healthy. Can't say anything about the larger fish, aside from a growing bichir, because they are currently living in a pond. You can't go wrong with any of these three brands IMO.

I don't care what brand of fish food you choose, but please do your fish a favour & stop feeding them food that was designed for cats & dogs. Tropical fish have completely different requirements, and although your fish may appear ok on the surface, rest assured you are feeding them straight into premature death.

No death in 2 years, and you want what, a medal? :screwy:
I never said that feeding those types of food would cause sudden death syndrome, you might want to go back & actually read what I posted.

HAHA liar!

It's probably best if I don't make any direct comments about other companies products. If you have any generalized questions with regards to certain ingredients etc I'd be happy to assist you. Just don't mention brand names.

 They are alive! infact they are healthy. Plus my tank is completely overstocked and i LOVE IT, Cuz my filtration is madman!

WAIT im Argueing with a telemarketer damnit... Epic fail.

Finalfire, what RD.'s trying to say is that your fish may appear healthy, but on the inside they may be developing lipids. Sure your fish are not dead, which RD. did not imply, but their life span will be reduced considerably feeding them dog food.

Finalfire, what I'm trying to say is you're freakin' retarded and thanks for the laugh.
