Its another Monday, and another weekend pman movie review.
*No Spoilers but some of plot may be talked about, nothing not shown in trailers*
Overlord: Oh. My. Gosh. I left the theater in awe after this one. So very original and amazing script. This movie wont be up for best picture, but I think it will remain my favorite film of the year when the year is up. Takes the disturbing raw war genre and combines it with the horror zombie genre. Think Saving Private Ryan meets World War Z. Amazing cinematography, sounds and music. This one deserves to be seen in the theater setting. Takes every bit of its R rating so be prepared for that, but also prepare for a thrilling ride. Highly recommend! 8.2/10.
Beautiful Boy: This movie is a much more serious note as Steve Carell plays the father of a drug addicted son. Based on a true story that tugs at your emotions for the full two hours. This movie hit home for me and I loved how they presented addiction, it was very real and accurate. Its great to see Carell in a serious role, he does an amazing job. Theres talk of this one being up for Best Picture, which I can definitely see. I would also recommend this movie but again, tough R rated picture. 8.0/10.
