Incidentally Tom, for a laugh I recommended "Aquarium of the Dead" to the guys on my cycling forum. Half of them didn't bother, the other half did, and are trying to get me on probation as punishment, lol.

I watched an interesting three part documentary on Netflix recently called "Trainwreck, Woodstock 99."

Everyone's familiar with it's 1969 love fest predecessor but I wasn't as familiar with the 1999 edition.

Wow, "Trainwreck" was an understatement, that place ended up a complete warzone.

Were any of you guys stateside at the three day event?

The vast majority from the 1969 event probably were hippies, but the 1999 event, from what I could see, was made up mainly of young drug and alcohol fuelled yobs! And the artists such as Korn and Limp Biskit just wound them up into a frenzy.

Not much peace and love going on i'm afraid. It's well worth a watch. Total anarchy on the third day of the event.

I was offered a ticket from a friend but (un) fortunately I wasn't able to attend because of work. Still not sure on which if fortunate or un. I think the first as I only remember there was like 5 bands I was even vaguely interested in.

From what I saw thousands wasted money on tickets, because thousands more got in without paying! That seems to be the reason that the prices for food, drink and merch skyrocketed, which upset more and more people as the weekend progressed, and seemed to be a factor in the resulting trouble.

I think you dodged a bullet by not being able to go. It was horrific towards the end.
