Well, let's face it: the aquarium hobby is self-limiting. You have taken the steps towards eliminating most maintenance headaches by having that wonderful continuous-drip set-up...which lets you keep more tanks, and larger tanks, more easily. The universe sees your joy and moves to crush it...by bringing to your attention the extreme cost of electricity nowadays. Joy crushed.

Uh uh, nope, sorry...no such thing. That's a phrase coined by people who make paint and don't have any kids. Stick a paintbrush into a toddler's hand, open a can of paint...and the result is usually terrifying rather than friendly...at least, in your own house it is.
Great to see you indoctrinating the little guy into the hobby at a young age. I am assuming that he will be out fishing with you as well? Sounds like a great way to grow up.

its water based… thats as “kid friendly” as it gets lol. And yup, def. can’t wait to get him out fishin with me. Don’t want to rush it tho also. He just turned 3 this month so no healthy fear of water yet. Of course ive had a couple rods ready for him since before he could walk
