But what would they be educating the Japanese about since,as you say,they are not the only ones hunting whales and they likely see it as part of their culture,and,their right?......I do agree that some of the Watchers would have been killed by now if conditions were not in their favor.I would not put it past the Japanese,the Helsinkies or just about anyone else who was out there seeking their livlihood.Thank God for the camera crews.....
After years of pressure… Bull Fighting was recently BANNED in parts of Spain, the country’s national pastime. Between educating the people and putting pressure and shame on people that watch it. Give it more time and more areas of the country will do the same.
With enough money as I am sure the Sea Shepard can get through donations. They can educate and put pressure on the masses in countries that eat whale. The older generation now will keep eating whale meat. It is the next generation you need to educate. Just like bull fighting in Spain.
Wow didn't know that about Spain's ban. The sea shepard shoulda went terrorizing the bull fighting stadiums. Maybe they don't care as much since in their opinion whales are more majestic
Well there goes the only reason I ever had for wanting to visit Spain,I'm guessing they did away with the running of the bulls as well?What will Lamborghini turn to when they build a new supercar and it needs a name?.......That might have been their pastime but I doubt it brings,or,brought in as much money as the Japanese whalers make.
I assume you're joking. I could never understand the desire to injure a bull, so it was week. Let it run at you and slowly kill it, so it has to suffer to its death.

I wasn't joking and I'm one of the most compassionate members on here when it comes to the treatment of animals,I haven't and won't even take my son to the circus when it comes to town,but for some reason the thrill seeker in me wanted to see a real bullfight,once,and be chased through the streets by one..as bad as it was,it's still not mass slaughter.
One life is still worth a lot.
The bullfighting thing sounds more exciting if they'd fight a healthy bull and not kill it for fun. I realize a 2000 pound bull is really strong and can do some damage and kill a person. If the person was skilled at evading a bull it'd be more understandable. It's more like you'll never be good enough, so we'll cripple this animal, so you can have a pitty win.
