From what I gathe from your convo, is Wes the last remaining importer of non farmie/hybrid mutt types....
My inlaws go to Brasil every year to visit family n such... they ask what I want them to bring back... bass on a plane... (I know not possible)

I wouldnt say he's the "only" importer, but he's the most easily accessible and trustworthy. Out of the importers you can usually be pretty sure of the quality if it comes from Wes and he'll work to find some truly cool stuff. But as of late if you want wc bass you need to be very lucky and be ready to dig through a bunch of bs vendors
Thus far from what’s left I’d say he’s the most reliable, Kevin cumberton of tuic is on the fast track to being where rapps left off though he just needs a little bit more time, also mike tucc has been doing wonders for me lately in replacing my old importer friend (although it’s mostly been for crenicichla) he does get in some wild bass from time to time
Im really hoping tuic will start importing WC bass. Id really like to get some Azuls and tems.
Well pbass got me back in the hobby. (and led me to MFK). I wanted a big game fish type of fish in my living room. And that's what I ended up with.
I actually liked intermedia but due to size constraints I got kels.
Nothing like watching the bass work out in the morning. They like to look at the ocean and exercise the muscles.
They have such crazy patterns very bright in natural lighting, lovely bass.
