Why not a nice, appealing, ocean blue/jet black back ground? I personally find all the rock, plant, wood etc pictured backgrounds disrupting and unattractive.

Pangea ( Danish company ) and "Back to Nature" makes backgrounds in thoose sizes... but they are really expensive.
Its thoose thick backgrounds made out of epoxy and hand painted.

Look in the spray paint section under "Gloss Black"

ha ha I agree with ^^^ Its a really cheap way to keep people focused on your tank and not a poster taped behind it.

ya i figured i could get blue and black.
i have decor backing and i have some black backing on other tanks.
both nice but i think 8x2 black or blue will be to much.
I used a 8'x2' piece of cardboard..painted it black. looks good.
thought about it but cardboard + water = :barf:
also thought about a roll of wallpaper as background.
opinions on that?been done?lol

thanks for the link but im working with a poor mans salary.lol
Petco and Petsmart have rolls of 24" backgrounds by the foot. They are reversable. I think I have seen blue/lighblue, black/lightblue, FW deco/Light blue, and SW deco, light blue
didnt see it on the website guess i gotta look in store.

anyone else??????
looked on dr smith site and didnt see any.

I use something thats called " wind cardboard" ( directly translated from danish, dont know the english term)
When we frame wooden structures in Denmark we wrap this around on the outside of the framing ... to stop weather/wind from blowing throught the house.
Basicly its very dureable cardboard that wont soak water and is allmost impossible rip with your bare hands.
Its black with some structure to it.... looks very nice
