yea that def should help but if she has always spawned in a cave the clay pot might work better. My dovii are breeding in a hollow log but my convicts will spawn in the open.Chrisplosion;4541485;4541485 said:

haha seriously. im at the point where ill use any female that will lay eggs lol. u think the red dragon is better out of the two tho? i have another fh with nice markings but im not sure the sex or breed cuz its only 3" but Ive had it for 6-7 months and its only grown an inch so i think its female. it looks very similar in shape to your male tho
I would use one of the pictured, you have to be careful when the male dwarfs the female. I know that feeling all to well.
hmm thats a little bit more aggressive than the first one but i still think the way they're displaying their fins and slapping each other is a good sign. Do you have an air stone from another tank that you can use? that with the clay pot and water change should do the trick.
