most aggressive Cichlids from my experience.
1. Parachromis Dovii. they are quite huge muscular and they have huge pairs of teeth they can really hurt its thank mates.
2.
Nandopsis Haitiensis. unlike dovi they are not so heavily armored with sharp teeth. but they are quite aggressive aswell. they like to defend their territory
3.
Nandopsis Beani. i have never had these guys but my friend did. it allmost killed 7-8 fish in his tank mates. hes a dangerous guy aswell.
4.Nandopsis Grammodes. they are non-stop. they are not doing anything except fighting. once i had them for 2 month or so ( i had a pair) and they were not eating their purpose in fish tank was to fight and disturb others.fortunately they are not so well-armed.
5.
Amphilophus Labiatus. or red devil. red devils are well-known for their killing abilities. i suppose those guys are true real demons. but in my case they were not as agressive as dovis for example.

N. Beani, hands down. Will not stop until any other fish in their tank is dead, & not just other cichlids.

Hard to argue beani or black nasty. Anything that gets so mad it stresses out to the point of killing itself is pretty freaking aggressive. Dovii, red devils, grammodes, beani's, black nasties are all pretty much a tie as far as aggression goes. Now if you want to separate the men from the boys with a deadliest cichlid poll. I don't think much is going to be stand against a 14"+ dovii.

Or a 26"+ one........other cichlids are on the menu when the males get that big. And your hands.....LOL

In my experience the most aggressive were:
1. Purple Rose Queen. I had a gorgeous bright pink female - super aggressive, even took off scales off 16" aro.
2. Red devil. Briefly had one. No more.

Actually I had a purple rose queen that almost destroyed my oscar and I midas. Constant attacking until the were stucked huddled in the corners of the tank. Its a shame because they are so beautiful
