When you take the bad boys of our world (Dovii, Jaguar, Red Devils (and assorted relatives)) my experience is it depends on the individual. I had a 10" Red Devil for years that would attack anything I put in the 210 gallon tank since it was 5" long and it never stopped. No matter what other aggressive cichlid i added. Ditto a recent Jaguar I had in a 140. But then I've had red devils and jags that get along well with everyone. And so much depends on environmental factors. I've had some devilish convicts and some angelic ones. Sort of like humans I imagine.

I have some juvenile dovii and they have forced the jag which is larger to one side of the tank. I thought the jag was king but I was way wrong. I will be retaining jag in the near or I won't have one .

I definitely think it depends on the fish...But, I've got a 8" Red Devil, who I swear thinks he is the devil himself.
Started with 3. He killed the other two and everything else I've attempted to add to the the tank.
He'll ram and bite (you can her his teeth hit the glass) the glass when you walk by, jump out of the water and hit the hood. Tears up any plants, knocks large rocks around the tank, so much so that I removed them because I was afraid he would end up breaking the glass...SO, IMHO I would have to say the red devil
