I wouldn't recommend these types of turtles to even a somewhat knowledgeable keeper. I've been very lucky when it comes to this, as I have 4 in total ( 2 adults and 2 that came in this year ) and only one turtle has had a issue.Same here on both points...is this shell issue a common affliction with FRT's?

sorry for the late reply but how long did it take for your turtle to recover? it's been a week but the lesions are still thereback in the tank
