My TATAY (father).

One day, I saw his nanocube in his house and it awakened the dormant memories of my childhood and all the fish that we kept.

My biggest inspiration was some unknown worker in the pet store who dumped several tanks of fish out in the parking lot when I was seven. My brother and I found some cups in the trash and scooped some fish out of the puddles. The fish lived in jars until our mom bought a fish bowl. A few years later, our sister dragged home a discarded fish tank to become our first community tank. Thanks Sis. Of course, she is the one that thinks I have lost it. During Christmas two years ago, she took my mom around the house counting fish tanks. Honestly, I had no idea that there were fifteen.

^^ very cool story

Everyone here is an inspiration IMO. True new fish in the hobby/new combo's that people get are inspirations. But almost everyone has a great idea how to accomplish/build something. I learned so much from MFK in a year and a half, couldn't begin to list screen names though as they're so many.

I've always had fish, and theres alot on here of who helped inspire me along the list, but what inspired me to start, hands down is oscars. I always wanted one for as long as I can remember, and when I was younger got a 55 only to learn it was too small a tank to have one. From then on I just eyeballed them, untill I saw one kept in crap conditions that wouldn't make it otherwise, and told myself this is the one, saved it, grew it out, then bought him a 90, and decided itd be happier in a 220 which I am still setting up...and thats how I got inspired to keep monster fish haha.
oh and its the fish in my avatar btw.

I've always been into fish since I was like 12. But when I got back as an adult.

My cousin "FASTFREDDY".. he started me on all this madness. I never knew about Dats, Rays, Oddballs..etc..etc,
until he came over one day and said, "check out this site called Predatoryfish". That opened the doors and there was no turning back.... :(
