I like the black enough that I want to use the nicest stuff I can find and completely change out 100% to black. Anything better than this? Cost does not matter, want it done right.

That stuff is good for a planted tank. The imagitarium sand would be fine for your needs.
After looking at it with clear water I decided it was too dark for me. The tank just didn’t look as pretty. I needed a water change anyway so I vacuumed about 90% of the black out and then just mixed it in really well. I like the result, looks much more natural! I’m going to stick with this and leave it alone for a while. I may mix in a little bit more dark sand in the next water change. I’ll get a picture once it really clears up. 
Two things: Substrate looks great! And that little Green Terror is living up to his name. The JD is 3-4 times his size but he starts it every single time! He follows him around and flares up at him and then they have a face off. It’s very interesting, the JD backs down more often than not, but when he’s had enough he’ll strike at him. 
The size difference was just too much, took the JD back unfortunately. Replaced with 2 more Firemouth's. He was bullying everyone pretty bad....!
Are you able to unscrew the nozzle? If so the siphon can just attach on easily.
You should be able to unscrew it here, and then hook it to a hose with a properly sized adapter fitting to hook onto whatever hose you have.
