Thanks, I think i have some floating hydroponics holders. Nice piranha tank, do they need to be in shoals or is that just a way to avoid timidness.
Well it depends on the certain fish, my shoal is somewhat skiddish even being in a group, I've heard of solo red belly Piranha being just fine!

There are many Piranha that have to be kept solo, all pygos can cohab, but most of the serrasalmus family are crazy aggressive ambush hunters that need their own tank, like my rhom for example. There are many different kinds of piranhas!

+1 for those koralia pumps! Have two in my tank and they're awesome. Will get some shots of the plants again soon. They're growing like crazy

I'm under the impression that certain areas of the site are being cleaned up, obviously this thread has been un-stuck, hopefully it sorts itself out and becomes a sticky again for many future members to learn and benefit from!

Winter is here, and the cost of heating water is very expensive and all utilities go up, pothos are a great solution to cut down on wc therefore they will help you save some much needed $$ during the winter by consuming nitrate toxicity!

I appreciate any and all your support mods/members!

A lot of lhs still have them, even walmarts, call around and ask, or you can always buy online, this looks like a reputable vendor with decent prices http://www.pernellgerver.com/goldenqueenpothos.htm

MODS!!! Why isn't this stickied anymore?
Im in contact right now, I'm sure it will be rectified soon :)

EDIT: IT'S NOW A STICKY ONCE AGAIN! THANKS FOR YOUR TIME AND SUPPORT MEMBERS AND MODS!

IT IS CRUCIAL DURING THESE WINTER MONTHS TO SAVE AS MUCH MONEY AS POSSIBLE ON UTILITIES, THE COST OF HEATING WATER GOES UP, SO ANYTHING TO CUT DOWN ON WC WILL MAKE YOUR AQUARIUM MORE ENERGY EFFICIENT!

THX AGAIN GUYS!

Just saw this n good job. Always wanted a planted tank n wanted to do my 130 with plants, but i was afraid my south americans would rip them to shreds n didnt wanna dump money on a huge setup. Hopefully they can get use to the plants n i can make it into a planted tank!!
I got some inspiration n did this in literally ten mins. Good thing my mom already has this plant, so i went upstairs n grabbed a plant. Then took an old paper organizer, cut it in half, bent the wire n dunked it in. My glass canopy was broken in one spot, i knew it would come in handy!! I am just worried about the exposed metal rusting n harming the fish, what do you guys think? I mean fish in the wild have rusty stuff in the water all the time...anyways it Turned out great, looks great, n was super cheap!! Thanks again f1!!!!

I am not sure I would worry to much about the rust, people use iron nails to provide iron instead of dosing it so it should be fine, same deal I imagine. I am going to look at Home Depot/Lowes tomorrow and if they don't have any I'll order from the site above, $15 for a plant shipped to my door.

First off nice MAN cave!

Secondly, the basket looks painted so imo its fine, good start, I recommend more!

BTW nice looking tanks!
