The added light definitely helps the growth, although ambient light is still sufficient.All it needed was a little sunlight

May just keep them in plant pots above my tank and feed them tank water....
Put it in the sump for sure then, good water flow! Just grab a soap holder or shower caddy thing from Walmart with suction cups, the roots will dangle I'm the water, won't need substrateCan't really submerge these though unless they go in my sump:
Can't get them in the hood and the Silvber dollars destroyed my last plant
May just setup an above tank refugium thing like I said... Just need to find a suitable pot
First off, your substrate and decor will also contain some bb, and the fact that your reading nitrates means your ammonia is still being converted to nitrite then to nitrate meaning you have both bb!Updates! These have been saving not only my life but my bass' lives as well... My fx5 broke a while back and was down for a few days and I lost all my beneficial bacteria. So I'm currently re-cycling the tank which means...: no water changes untill it's fully cycled. So although nitrates are still a bit high its bearable for everyone.
