I've never been poisoned from handling mine, but I'd waste no time washing if I got some sap on my skin.

pothos doesn't need much light, but the point to adding it to your filter system is to filter, and for that more light is better. instead of putting it in a HOB on your sump, just root it in the sump and use that power that would have gone for the HOB for some lighting.

here's mine so far.

grows out of the overflow, down to the floor, does a loop, and back up. it's about 12 feet at this point.

ya guess I could always just let the roots hang in my sump were ever then, rather then a HOB. how are you suppose to trim these things

trim? I have to go back to the whole point of this, filtering the water.
the bigger it is, the more it will filter.
no trimming allowed.
or you could use scissors or a razorblade.

+1 just remove the bad leaves, or let them fall off.

If I did not trim my plant or its roots it would take over the whole tank.
No need for that. I keep fish not plants.
That being said....the more light the better.

Great pothos everyone!

As far as hanging them is concerned I have noticed when they are elevated they seem to grow faster but that may be an illusion. I just use nails to hang mine on ceiling and walls.uploadfromtaptalk1426016084404.jpg

I've handled my pothos a lot and never remember washing my hands specifically because of them, not to say they can't cause reactions amongst others.

Glad to be back, great looking setups guys/gals
