I've put about 30hrs+ into the clod build over the past couple days since getting the chassis back from powder coating. Still have a lot to do but now it is really starting to take shape and look like something.

You could almost leave the body clear after the builds finished just because the details inside look so good...

Got back onto the clod project today after a couple days break. Spent the day mostly doing diamond plate work on it. Got the side sponsor panels done, the side "wing/roll" panels, the front cockpit firewall, and upper dash panel done now.

lol I know, I'm gonna be worried bashing it for sure. The good thing is the chassis/cage is strong as can be so with everything inside it then it shouldn't be able to damage anything. Getting it dirty should be my only concern :duh:

Just ordered some new tires for it last night. Jconcepts just released a scale looking BKT tire called JCT's so I snapped up a full set of those before they sold out. Also got some new Jconcept tribute wheels and orange beadlocks to go with them. I think all that's left to actually buy now is the 3s lipo then I'll have everything :)

Got two of the new Jconcepts JCT tires mounted on the new tribute wheels with beadlocks. These things are awesome, really love the scale look of them and tread design. Planetary center caps are painted black and swapped out the factory hex screws with some stainless ones which look nice. Been swapping out all the screws & hardware on the whole truck with stainless ones now as well.

Got all the Faskolor paints for it last weekend as well as some paint masks and also had a vinyl lettering place do up some custom made decals in a really cool font for the name on the truck. Years ago I had a 50's panel truck clodbuster with a grim reaper on the side and it was named "Sandman" (after Metallica's Enter Sandman song) so I was actually able to find the same reaper paint mask for this one I used back then which is cool. Also got the airbrush cleaned up and dusted off since I hadn't used it in years but it's ready to go now. Probably be a couple weeks though till I can work on it again, got slammed with rod orders over the past week so that's gonna keep me busy for a bit.

Fat Homer Fat Homer - I had forgot just how addicting RC can be. Get this....The past week I've already bought up about 75% of the parts to build up another set of Clodbuster axles lol :) Once this truck is done I plan on building another. The next truck I'm going to make a custom carbon fiber frame and it's gonna be a hardcore lightweight basher that I can hurl 10ft high and not worry about it.
