White spot on fly river turtle

So silvadine would be the strongest most effective treatment?

no idea, I'm not a expert or have ever dealt with this stuff before even though I have 2 young ones and 2 older turts. I'm just currently dealing with a similar issue, and have been providing what i've been reading. Personally, I think silvadine is the way to go 100%, that being said, i'm anal and would still use diluted betadine once a week ( it doesn't lose potency when diluted apparently) and silvadine as often as your vet recommended. With your case, it's just one area, so it's not like you need to do dips, or treat multiple areas of the turtle. My turtle decided not to eat algae waffers tonight (it's picky and wants cut fish), so as I was taking them out of the tank, I decided to grab the turtle and show you what I'm dealing with as well.

Ammonia: 0
Nitrtie: 0
Nitrate: 5-10ppm ( I do water changes every Sunday )

40 gallon breeder aquarium with a sun sun canister filter and a aqua clear hob.
Water temp: 83-86 ( depending on the time of the day )
Salinity is at 1.005-1.006 (using a refractor)
PH is right around 8. I have roughly 1" of the tank divided off with a clear acrylic divider where the heater is, as well as where I dumped a ridiculous amount of crushed coral (my tap water reads at like a 6.5)

and for substrate i'm using African cichlid aragonite sand, it's not coarse at all which is nice.

I'm assuming the wounds or ulcers? (w/e you'd like to call them) on the belly have almost completely healed, there's just 2 small scabs, which I'm really surprised that it healed so quick. The "bite mark" on the shell doesn't look like a bite mark and I'm pretty sure is actual rot. no signs of fungus but there is some shedding going on.

I've done 0 treatment and wanted to see if all the articles stating a higher PH and clean water with a higher salinity clears everything up, But I don't think that's 100% true and will be starting a treatment this Friday.

Looks like your guys are healing up nicely! For mine I’m not sure if it’s turning this color because the shell is growing back? Or if it’s something I should be very concerned about… the three little holes have started closing up so I assumed it’s getting better…

will be giving manuka honey a try tomorrow morning. Sticking with another round of silvadine tonight

Looks like your guys are healing up nicely! For mine I’m not sure if it’s turning this color because the shell is growing back? Or if it’s something I should be very concerned about… the three little holes have started closing up so I assumed it’s getting better…

idk if she's healing or not, people keep complaining about her stomach being pink and not being 100% white is a water issues, which is not the case. The "bite marks" seem to be about the same, maybe a little better? But yours looks like when you fell as a kid and your knee slowly started healing and got gross before it scabbed up, which it can't do because it's wet. it'll get better though!

My turtle has a pink stomach like that as well, pretty sure it’s a normal thing. That’s what i was hoping for mine as well hopefully it’s the beginning of the healing process

I was trying to figure out the sex of the turtle was reading up somewhere about tail length or something. Here’s an update of how he’s healing up this morning. The small holes are definitely getting smaller!

Update on how the title guy is doing now. It’s definitely growing back now. Still doing silvadine treatments everyday. Noticed it looks like a bit of hair is growing on the shell? Weird. But doesn’t seem to be infected at all or anything. Or getting worse

Directly on the wound part that’s healing it’s kinda hard to see when out of water but it’s like a fine looking hair algae. Kinda strange but doesn’t really look infected or anything
