You knew what I meant .There aren’t any SA in your mix - those are both CA cichlids.
If I were you, I would prefer, 3 senegal bichirs and one top dweller. Bichirs like to pile with each other in an aquarium setting (although they prefer solidarity in the wild) and definitely look better in groups. You knew what I meant .
I prefer American cichlids period.
Can I fit more than one bichir in my tank? I would love to have a bichir aquarium. I only have a 55 gallon tank...If I were you, I would prefer, 3 senegal bichirs and one top dweller. I feel a single theme would be better, as it would look less messy in my opinion. Right now you have one live bearer here, a convict there a bichir at the bottom. Although this may be a biased viewpoint cause I’m an avid bichir keeper myself
Yes, you can, although maximum I would say for a 55g would be 3 bichirs, and no larger sized top To middle dwellers such as fire mouth or blood parrots (sorry finwin )Can I fit more than one bichir in my tank? I would love to have a bichir aquarium. I only have a 55 gallon tank...
Hmm, I will consider this. It would be an exciting prospect. The only thing is, can I have any other fish or only bichirs? I don't want to get rid of my precious Striped Raphael, pictus, or BGK (though I will have to get rid of it eventually).Yes, you can, although maximum I would say for a 55g would be 3 bichirs, and no larger sized top To middle dwellers such as fire mouth or blood parrots (sorry finwin )
smalller sized CB upper jaw bichirs suitable:
- senegalus bichir
- albino senegalus bichir
- mokelembembe bichir
- delhezi bichir (may be slightly larger than senegals)
Mate the bichirs you can house properly are active.I really want something a bit more active than a bunch of bichirs, like some cichlids or something.
