Ive seen that show on a few times and was tempted. But being a railroader myself i was afraid id constantly be scoffing at inaccuracies like i did when i tried to watch the "alaskan railroaders" or whatever show it was. I'd also probably reflexively kick a hole in the wall if the sound of a train horn disrupted the tranquility of my home.A few days of bad weather had me and my wife watching a lot of TV (a lot for us); this was both good and bad.
The good: A series we found on Prime called "Hell On Wheels", a western revolving around the construction of the railway connecting the East with the West of North America, set in the years immediately following the Civil War in the U.S. We've sort of binged the first two seasons, still have three more seasons left. An accurate representation of the truth? Beats me, I'm not a history buff, but the portrayal of life in that time and place is pretty engrossing, especially the portrayal of "man's inhumanity to man"...but without the overdose of "wokeness" that plagues much of today's virtue-signalling entertainment. It's not a light-hearted thing to watch.
