I did, wasn't really impressed unfortunately. I had high hopes.
I saw the trailer for it and wanted to give it a look....and also, there is a Thanksgiving themed horror movie coming out next month.

Not sure when, but I am. Wanted to go this week, but haven't had the time.
I'll probably check it out at some point,I also may go and see Napoleon too!

I saw Trolls: Band Together this past weekend.

A coming of age tale, the film truly inspired a closer, more vulnerable reading of Poppy and Branch. Good use of foreshadowing in the earliest sequences, especially when we see *spoiler* the breakup of BroZone, but I was still left speechless at the big reveal in Poppy’s storyline. My one criticism is that we could have used more development of the Velvet and Vaneer villains - although appropriately devious, their motivation of pop superstardom seemed a bit trite and overdone.

4/5 stars

A few days of bad weather had me and my wife watching a lot of TV (a lot for us); this was both good and bad.

The good: A series we found on Prime called "Hell On Wheels", a western revolving around the construction of the railway connecting the East with the West of North America, set in the years immediately following the Civil War in the U.S. We've sort of binged the first two seasons, still have three more seasons left. An accurate representation of the truth? Beats me, I'm not a history buff, but the portrayal of life in that time and place is pretty engrossing, especially the portrayal of "man's inhumanity to man"...but without the overdose of "wokeness" that plagues much of today's virtue-signalling entertainment. It's not a light-hearted thing to watch.

The bad: A neighbour had suggested we try to watch "Leave The World Behind". And try we did; my wife gave up on it, but I managed to sit through the whole thing. Worst movie I have seen in a looooong time; no redeeming qualities that I could see. :(

Ive seen that show on a few times and was tempted. But being a railroader myself i was afraid id constantly be scoffing at inaccuracies like i did when i tried to watch the "alaskan railroaders" or whatever show it was. I'd also probably reflexively kick a hole in the wall if the sound of a train horn disrupted the tranquility of my home.
