Couple of updates.
Hrp Mongo is back to being his hyper and foul tempered self. His mouth isn't completely healed but it must feel well enough to pick fights with. He was mixing it up with sons Bubba, Shade and Mote (all at the same time).
Hrp Brutus (out of Speck/Slade) looks to have monster potential and may be the first supersized pink marble. He eats like no tomorrow and appears to be a bit bigger/thicker than both Mongo and Slade now. Brother Squiggy is likewise picking up size rapidly. Stay tuned.
The rest of the pothos arrived the other day. The lime pothos I put in the 225. Those are from a small plant (4" pot) but it will be interesting to see how fast it grows with the ultimate 'fertilizer'. Of course Bp Boss and Brick had to inspect it closely.
The large 12" pot was a huge disappointment. I got a half dried, crispy plant with wilted, brown spotted leaves and POUNDS of roots. The damn thing was so rootbound there was no soil in the pot! The seller just sprinkled a thin layer on top. It's like the seller had an old leftover plant that hadn't been watered or repotted in months and just bagged and boxed it up. I've already given a 1 star review. I soaked the roots in a 6 gallon bucket overnight (they filled the bucket)!
After soaking overnight
some of the leaves look a lot better but I'll still have to trim leaves , chop the roots and see what I can salvage. Some of them are thick as a pencil and girdle the pot. Amazon is reimbursing me since there was no way to contact the seller. These are the pictures in my review. Damn stupid and no quality control. This mess from a nursery?
The pothos can stand on its roots. Second pic shows the root bottom.
