OK, heres the test i'm running on the fix for the leak. I plan on running a 1"x1" caulk line all the way around the inside of the window. I know the construction grade is probably the strongest bond, but I thought I would test all three and let you guys know which one has the strongest bond on the acrylic. It will be about five days before I can pull them apart and test the strength.

i can tell you scs-1200 is the strongest one for glass. and metal.also keep in mid that if you mount it like most people do with ply tanks that the presure of the water will hold the panel in. scs1200 aint toxic either

Silicone is not known for sticking well to acrylic. You might consider treating the acrylic with a primer first such as Dow Corning 1205. It helps the silicone adhere to the acrylic.

John I checked the stats on Dow vs. GE and the GE construction grade shows to exel over Dow in every area. I don't have a primer but I thought I would run this test first to test the bond and be certain before I go to far.
