This is just a great build, one of the best on this site and your explaination of each step and phase has been really helpful.
I can not wait for this tank/pond to be filled, cycled and stocked.
Keep the posts coming.

JohnG you are dude! Perfect work! I also need to build a large tank for my Atractosteus spatula. Your guide is really like. How to solve the tank lighting? Do you have an idea of the cost per month for energy?

JohnG ty si frajer ! Perfektná práca ! Ja tiež potrebujem postaviť veľkú nádrž pre moju Atractosteus spatula. Tvoj návod sa mi páči. Ako si vyriešil osvetlenie nádrže? Mᚠpredstavu o výške nákladov na mesiac na energiu?

Thanks everyone, glad you like the build.

Haven't really worried about energy, we have the cheapest power in the USA at 3.5 cents per KWH so it won't be much.

We have some T-8 shop lights hanging directly above the pond, not sure how well they will work for lighting, if we don't like it can always rig up some T-5s or LEDs. We are going to be running some 2x4 braces across the top before filling, so we can rig lights up to those braces.
