great looking build so far. love the stand too. how much you think that bad boy weighs? keep up the good work!
A lot. The plan is to install jack casters in the corners to move it....whenever move it.

hey couple of questions. first the tank looks awesome great job. can you post a list or name of the epoxy coating. (which brand or even a part number if they make more than one version.) also do they make it in different colors. or is it a dye you add to it.. I like the black but sometimes darker fish don't show up well. let me know keep up the great work... I bet you could sell stands like that and make a ton of cash doing it too..
If you look at post #1 & 16 you will see the info for the epoxy. The name of the place is Polymer Composites and they are located in Ontario, Ca. They will give you the info on coloring the epoxy.

I went with black because the diorama that was planned to go into the tank needed a black background. The best part about using epoxy is all you have to do is lightly sand whats there and overcoat it with the same epoxy of a different color.

Thanx. I'd love to quit my job and do stuff like this...but not in this economy.

selling stand to make a ton of cash always sounds better than it turns out.

As much as I hate to admit it - it's probably true

On target now, that is an amazing looking stand. I love how the rock hides the doors. I am a big fan of the and surprise the entire doors pop off setups. I feel it is much better than hinges.

pics?updates? get working!!!!

Dont worry, it's comin. Trust me, no one is more anxious to get back into this than I am.
I'm going to sneak in some work this week. We had someone in our family who was very ill and passed away recently so things have been on hold for some time. I think I can hide in the garage tomorrow.
