OK here is as best as I can get of these larva looking things that just showed up. They are about 1/4" long and wiggle in the water then sit on the side or the bottom glass where it looks like they are grazing feeding. Lots on the bottom. I have 2 ideas...some bug flew in from outside and was attracted because of the lights OR something I didn't scrub off of the rocks that I got from outside by a ditch. I scrubbed the heck out of them with a bristle packs plastic hand brush. They had mud on them....I thought I got them good but maybe not.

What would yall do?

I havn't fishing reading this thread yet but I had the same problem when I setup my 180 b4 and a really easy solution is to drop in a few feeders and they will eat all those little worms. as soon as they finish eating it take them out and problem solved.

I am on the recieveing end of that too lol...I dont get to look at them either. I saw them in the tank literly for like 2.5 sec before I had to leave:nilly:

I just hope all is good when I get home. I turned the lights off for good untill sunday when I get home. I dont know how my Ahli is going to take to new fish so I thought maybe if they are in the dark for a couple days no one will try to kill the other.

I can't believe it's not Sunday night yet, I need pictures. Also, my wife wants the $550 you owe her for my recent purchase. ;)

Fish are looking GREAT! Water is still 0 across the board. I will probably do a water change tomorrow night.

Here are the pics of the new guys...and some good ones of the ahli yawning and showing off his white blaze!

Your fish look great. I am very jealous of your picture taking skills already. What lens and flash are you using? Do you even need a flash with your MH's?

Yep I use a speedflash SB-800 and the lens is the kit lens 18-105. I think I could do better with a macro lens. Some of the other shots I took were with a 70-300 lens on a tripod 10' from the tank. And dont be jealous...all I do is put it on one of the auto settings and flip through the flash setting till I find one I like...then I unload...and get a few good ones. The big flash makes a big difference...I wasnt using it at first.
