I ordered a Canon Zoom Telephoto EF 75-300mm f/4.0-5.6 III Autofocus Lens. I haven't decided what macro lens I am going to go with yet.
Tripod? If not get one...you will need it with the big zoom if your zoomed in all the way. I have a 70-300 too...and I need to find a good macro but well...I have a tank to stock and finish setting up lol

I think I am about to do a water change on the tank...my ammonia has seemed to be either 0 or .25...so hard to really tell on the test scale (what kits do yall use). I test tap water tho and it seems to be more yellow and the tank is slightly greener making me think it has a tad of ammonia. And I got a pile o poop in one dead corner. I need to get the 2nd pump running :irked:

A buddy of mine is borrowing my tripod to tune his subwoofer in his home theater. I will probably buy another one and just let him keep that one. I have been borrowing his nail gun for about two or three months now so I really can't ask for the tripod back. :)

lol...I have used mine for that very thing too :D

Didn't get a chance to do the water change last night. The ammonia is still .25 this morning. So....either the safestart didnt work...or it slowed down something....or I dont have enough turnover for the load I have now. I only have one mag 18 running right now and thats giving me about 800gph so a little over 3x turnover. I have the 2 canisters running but dont know if that counts...no bio in them but there are sponges. If I need I have some bottles of stability and a pond filter and turtle tank filter I can squeeze in there.

It is not me...it is all the camera that did that. All I did was take 100 pics while sitting on my kitchen table to get a few good ones.

Well at 430 today I got "that" phone call.....yes that one...you know...the one from your wife saying you need to get home there is a lot of water on my floor!

Thanks to lowcel for jinking me (just messin) I had a water leak. I was fooling around in my messy stand this morning. I must have knocked one of the airline hoses off the air pump. So from 8am till 430 there was a back siphon from the airline that was a steady drip almost stream. Now this was in the stand....and the stand should have held the water....but it didnt. It only held maybe 1/4" of water and then was leaking out the stand and into my bedroom on the other side of the wall........and outside my house onto my porch. Yes....outside. All in all it was only 12 gallons of water that came out. But enough to make a huge mess....and probably ruin my power outlets for my RKE. When I picked one up and unplugged the phone line water poured out. I am so disgusted right now...110% preventable...I have check valves sitting in my stand that would have stopped this. I was also going to put the air pump on top of the canopy to prevent this...but hadn't yet. And my stand not holding water is pissing me off since I stressed that I wanted it to for this reason. Tho if it did more equip would be messed up because it would have been more under water. It also tripped the GFI's and only one canister was running since who knows when. I am sure it will do wonders for bacteria that im trying to grow.....

I'll post a couple pics later...im going dry stuff up and sulk......

:( Wow, I bet she was not very happy. Same thing kinda happened to me during my setup, I left a 1/4" drain open and my sump overflowed whole everything was shut down.....I lost about 30-50 gallons though. Lucky for me its in the basement. I know my girl was not the happiest. Lots of flowers and a nice dinner helped though.

Shes not too bad really...I thought it would be worse. She knows im mad at myself for this...I did a lot of pre planning to not have this happen and it did anyway. I mean really...the airline....thats a rookie mistake...I knew better! I tried the check valves and it cut too much flow so I was going to put the airpump on top of the canopy so it wouldnt need them. I just didnt do it yet....just like my wireing....mistake! Lights work still...idk about the power outlets...I dont feel safe pluging them in just yet. I am sure once they dry they would work...but are they now starintg to rust on the inside contacts ever so slowly....

Oh man I really hate to hear that. I accept full blame, unfortunately thanks to you my credit card is maxed out though so I won't be able to paypal you the money just yet.

I'm sure you have already done it but turn fans on everything possible (assuming it is carpet). I got lucky after my leak and didn't end up with any damage at all. Also, did you figure out where your stand is leaking? Can it be sealed easily or is it hopeless?

This reminds me, I am planning on putting another check valve on each one of my lines. Better to be safe than sorry.
