Yep I use a speedflash SB-800 and the lens is the kit lens 18-105. I think I could do better with a macro lens. Some of the other shots I took were with a 70-300 lens on a tripod 10' from the tank. And dont be jealous...all I do is put it on one of the auto settings and flip through the flash setting till I find one I like...then I unload...and get a few good ones. The big flash makes a big difference...I wasnt using it at first.

Wow, an $800 flash, it had better do a good job! I am about to order a Canon 430 EX speedlite. Not nearly as nice as the one you have but it will have to do.

I just did a quick search on yours and I saw a blurp about an updated version...the 430 EX II. Make sure to check that...

It is not me...it is all the camera that did that. All I did was take 100 pics while sitting on my kitchen table to get a few good ones.

I did a search on Amazon and yours came up for $800. I ordered the EX but then noticed that there was a newer one so I called the company to change the order. They told me that since I paid by paypal that they would need to cancel the order and refund my money through paypal. They said it would only take an hour to get my refund. That was 3:00 pm yesterday and it still hasn't gone through. Apparently the guy was full of crap since when I called to check on it I found out it has to go through their accounting department and could take a day or two. It sucks, I want my flash and lens.

That must be a typo....list is like 599 but it can be had for the 400 range and I got a good deal at BB since it was the last one and a floor model (but never used).

Sucks about yours...it never takes a day!

All I ever used was the P&S style cameras. I always wanted a nice camera so Igot the Nikon...its totally night and day...its so easy on the auto modes and fires off some pics fast and clear. I will never use the P&S again unless I NEED to be able to have it in my pocket.

What lens did you order?

I ordered a Canon Zoom Telephoto EF 75-300mm f/4.0-5.6 III Autofocus Lens. I haven't decided what macro lens I am going to go with yet.
