250 ish Ply Build

tank looks great. and glad that its holding water.. what kind of stain did you use on that wood? like the dark color and looks better then paint.

I added all the substrate today. Tank's been filled for going on three days and no issues. Packed 168 nylon pot scrubbies into the filter box and started transferring water from my other tank. Hopefully in a couple more weeks we'll try some feeders and see how they do.

Worked on a few odds and ends over thew last week or so. Put in the heaters, 4 300 watt. Got all the wiring figured out and discovered I'll have to put a longer cord on my lights to reach the power bars with out an extension cord.

Checked the water this morning and the ph was still high so I treated it and decided to try some feeders in there so I threw in a dozen and 8 hours later they're still swimming. We'll see how they do over the next couple of weeks.

I ended up working 12 hour shifts all week so I didn't get to work on the cabinet doors but the feeder fish after a week are doing excellent and the water quality is stable. I added 2 silver dollars from my son's tank and I'll see how they do for the next week or two. So hard to tell from goldfish as they are so bloody tough anyways as to how well the new tank is cycling. My Aro is almost 12 inches now and I'd really like to have him out of his present 40 gallon home.
