Some are only in the 20-28 inch range but there is 1 or 2 that are for sure 30"...

Vid was taken june 1st doubt they have grown much since then. They have some monsters in the i wasnt taking vid to prove how big i dovii can get so i didnt use a hand. You could always ask the staff im sure they can give u the sizes on the big guys.
Amazonia opened in 1992 they have had dovii since i can remember used to have lots of pairs with small fry now mostly just large males, couple of the pimas died and the used to have a lot more pacus.

You would have to ask op, or skip from RHC about that just posted the vids so people can see the exzibit. That being said i saw the fish with my own 2 eyes and 2 of those dovii ive seen have to be pushing 30in. Also there is usualy staff in there and a amazon interactive science exzibt connected to amazonia so skip may have asked one of them.
The zookeepers are more than aware that they aren't Amazonian. The tank used to be filled with all manner or random cichlids from people throwing them in from above... Not sure why they settled on dovii but they seem to be thriving.
Not sure about 30" ones (having visited a couple of weeks ago also). I was thinking more like a little under 2'...

I have a 2 foot giraffe catfish and the 2 largest dovii in that tank were much bigger than him. Also i have been to amazonia every summer since it opened except 1999 and 2000. The only cichlids i have ever seen in the first section of this tank were dovii they were housed with pimas,pacu,redtails and niger cats. Second small section used to have Red belly piranha,the last section has always had a variety of cichlids,catfish and a stingray or two. Unless the tank is made of some kind of magnifying glass two of those fish are well over two feet.
