Ive heard this is a good way to introduce diseases to your tank because of the lack of care gold fish receive. I might suggest tiger barbs. More entertaining. Or a nice fish less cycle is always good. And even still I used seachem stability on an emergency clean tank and it cycled in 5 days. It is legitimate bacteria in spores not live BB so its not as neccesary to keep it cool and all that and the spores unload tons of BB it really works. And your tank is not chained to the bottle after a while either.LowCel;2915946; said:I'm not going to be using any of my canisters on this tank so I'm not really going to be using any seeded media. I plan to use a couple of dozen goldfish feeders to cycle the tank. The ones that look good when I finish will be going into my dad's pond. The others will be returned to my lfs since I don't feed live food.
lol . The Goldfish will be fine they are air breathers and in a 300 gallon so no worries there. Any new pics of it with the goldies in it ?LowCel;2919063; said:Woohoo, thanks to this thread I actually had to upgrade my photobucket account!!!
