Thanks bro. Hey are those surge suppressors to accommodate the controller specifically for amp readings or are they added insurance that you are installing? Oh and that moon light thing is the ultimate bomb overkill toy I want that.
Are you refering to the black power strips? If so they are mandatory for the system to work. The Lite 1 and Lite 2 only come with one strip with four plug ins. The Lite 3 comes with two strips with four plug ins each.

I see. Thats what I meant the two power strips. Pretty cool how it keeps tabs on everything.
NolaGT I apologize when i said sync I used the wrong terminology I meant set it up to email you updates. Which it does correct?

And Afrocichlidkeeper My GF is going nuts already but when we move back down to Monterey and I get a 500 it is to be understood its either her or the tank :)

Yes it can do the email thing with the .NET module. I was just saying it would be bad if I could use a app through the iphone to get live readings through that same .NET module. It is wifi...so you think you would be able to.

Unfortunately that is not an option for the Lite. There is an app for the AquaController III or III Pro for the iPhone. The app is called AquaNotes. It would be an awesome toy to play with. :naughty:

I know it's off topic but you'll have that. I just finished cleaning up Lucy's tank so I decided to take some pictures. This is our living room tank and we can't really fit a larger tank in the room without it being in the way. We have had Lucy for a little over seven years now. She is a pet store red devil so it is a safe bet to assume that she is not pure. She is still mine and my wife's favorite fish.

I've decided to make a change with the tank. I am going to remove the ugj system. As much as I like it I just don't think it is worth the trouble. I had a nice flood yesterday morning from it. Luckily I was home so I was able to deal with it. Had I been out of town it would have been a very bad thing. I'll remove the ugj system in a week or two, until then it is just unplugged and I have the ball valves closed.

I am now trying to decide if I have any need to add an fx5 to my system. I am pretty sure that the wet/dry and the media reactor provide all the filtration that I need but I am open to opinions.

Details on what happened with the UGJ?

I didnt go with one because I had read that maybe it wasnt worth the trouble. I feel if you have the right kind of flow OR return system you dont really need it.

The thought behind my system is the wetdry is for bio only...then 2 xp3's for mech only...and the reactors for the chem only. I like using canisters with wetdrys since in order for the filter socks to catch the trash...it has to make it up to the top of the water. With the canister intakes you dont have to worry about that as much...just have the water moving and it will suck it up eventually. As for what one....thats up to you...I went with the xp3's because all I needed was some sponges and polishing pad in them. And I wanted 2 cheaper ones rather than one big expensive one so I would have 2 points of trash intake rather than just one.
