I should be able to get some better pictures of the tank and the occupants in the near future. I just have to wait for the battery to charge and then figure out how to operate the new camera. :D

I went with the Canon Rebel XS. It's not nearly as nice as yours but I think it will work alright for my needs. The majority of my pictures will be of the tanks and their occupants. I have figured out one thing so far, I have a lot to learn!

Here are a couple of pictures that I took with it. I know they are terrible but hopefully I get better.

Ahhh yes very cool! I like the cannons too. That's all I had before...I went with the nikon because it was the best bang for the buck for what I was looking to spend. Let me earmark some more of your money (sorry lowcels wife) LOL. Get a nice flash...one of the ones that add on to the camera body. It makes a big difference. Also idk about that camera but once I learn how I think I can use mine as a overhead flash. That how some of these pics on here come out so good. Like the curent lead photo in the potm.

I am wanting to order a flash but I really don't know what one to go with. I want one that I can place on top of the tank but can also be used on the camera it's self. I don't want to pay too much but I don't want to buy a piece of junk either.

Here are a few pictures that I just took. Not overly impressive but better than I could get with my old camera.
