You wont need much flow on those sm reactors. I have a MJ1000 running the 2 of mine and its cut back a fair amount. Becasue of the phos media thats in there. If it was just carbon I could flow more. The MJ's are 1/2" so its a snap to hook up...like 5 min if you have the stuff lol. On a side note I got my MJ's from aquacave for like less than 20ea and one lfs sells the same for 42ea...no lie. And good to hear about the fx5. I went back and forth on those...one of them or the 2 xp3's.

I am going to be branching off from the same pump that is providing the water for the monster reactor.

Oh yeah, just changed the bulbs on the 210. I'm looking forward to seeing it this evening. I really did not like the 6500 k bulbs on the 210. I switched to 10,000k bulbs and colormax bulbs.

Finished doing some grinding on the 2LF reactor and to the trim on the 75 gallon sump.

It looks pretty nice. It would look even better if it had sand instead of gravel.

The dovii are finally coming out on occasion as long as I stand a few feet away from the tank. If I would change the substrate now it would just stress them out again and I wouldn't see them for a few more weeks. I am planning on changing it in my 55 though.

Wow! Dude I just read from page 1-34 its been like 1hr and a half of reading do to my computer loading each page fairly slow. I currently am setting up a 300gal plywood tank im getting made from a guy in winnipeg. The dimensions are identical to yours. I don't think i will be doing quite what you did tho, that goes to show just how dedicated you are to your hobby and im impressed!

I was going to go with 2-3 emperor 400's and a marineland c530, im don't have a sniff into how you did all that or knew how to do that. I am considering a diy sump aswell. I'm going to have to look into more plywood tanks and see how they do it, but id imagine it would be easier to do. Where are you planning on keeping the dovii once they get bigger?

All in all love the setup and what you have done. Any chance we could get this sort of summarized and take out comments from ppl, and just what you posted. It would be a great post to refer to once i get mine underway! Cheers!

I finally took a moment to take a look at this thread and go through it. I have to say very nice tank, and a very clean pro looking job.
