Slimline BG's. < than 2"-3" front to back depth but your not going to hide any equipment behind it..

Mine was 3" and I hid intake in it, depends on the setup I guess.

Yeah I have a slimline on my little tank too, they are nice. Anytime on the help bro.. Honestly that was a little harder to install than I thought it would be.

Is your back sore today? Fitting those pieces in perfect inside a glass box is a tad straining haha

I think he meant if you glued it flat against the glass... the slimelines are one uniform width.

Oh, mine was not slimline I guess, it is the Congo 3d BG. Still only 3" at it's deepest, but able to hide pipe inside. Might get one of the slimlines for my angel tank.

Anyway, any more progress?

Yeah I'm sore, I'm old lol.. Your slimline took all of 8 seconds to put in but these big ones take a little more planning and effort huh? Do the seams look the same today as it did when I left?

BTW - It sucks being on the other side of the screen waiting for someone to finish!

Yeah, it's the damn braces too. If tanks didn't have braces this would have taken all of 10 minutes. Seams look good.

This is going to make you mad and I'm sorry for not thinking it before hand.. Why didn't we just cut off the glass brace and silicone it back on after the BG was in (in one piece)??? That would have been so much easier

Yeah I thought about that but there's still the brace between holding the glass panels. Too late now anyway LOL.

Yeah it's too late for this one but for other people with glass tanks it might be an option. That glass is the support, the little plastic piece isn't doing much, it could be cut off. On newer model tanks it's not hard to cut off the trim. Putting the trim back on it easy peezy.... We gotta remember that in case we do another one..
