werd, Looking good though. I would bury that puppy and leave about 5-6" sticking up and put innerlocking stones around it. Also your gonna need that 55 gallon drum filter. Or some filter. looks like you could run something sweet because it is covered canister wise. Also try some sponge filters that will give you surface movement as well.

I was just thinking the same thing it cleaned up nice didn't it?

haha yea it pretty excited about it...but going bowling so i will be back afterwards with questions and replies

yea i cant decide if i am going to use my fluval 404s or if i am going to make something by myself....and as washing it and bleaching it more i have found wat the tank was used for and luckily it was used to store water on my grandpas farm. do you all think i should put sand in the bottom of it? i am def going to put some plants in it tommorow

ok i am going to buy the plants today. i am going to buy 3 plants and that will have only mild sunlight...i would like to get 3 different kind that i could probably find at any major store. what 3 plants do you think i should buy?

Fast growing plants like anacharis will help suck up extra nutrients and keep the water from an algae bloom... I think bigger floating plants like water lettuce and water hyacinth (SP?) would help with that too, and filter the water some. Plus it will give your fish some shade and keep the water temps down a bit if its too high (from the sun). The only problem I would be worried about is that I know cichlids like to root around and move things, and that would be harmful to anything thats rooted on the bottom.
