UPDATE

we got the glass today and the tank will be up this week :popcorn: :headbang2 :headbang2

for the lid so the arowana will not push it open and to make it almost 100% water tight we used plastic decking boards for the glass to slide in perfectly in place :)











what do you think of our lid idea?

That's a really cool idea with the sliding glass in decking boards... only problem I see is that your glass appears to slide forward, so there is no way to open the tank a crack for feeding, and then observe the feeding. You will have to completely slide the pane out if you want to have tank access from the front.

Oh and when you say the tank will be up this week... you mean running?? that's pretty ambitious, even if you're using a pond liner.

we are getting it sprayed with polyurea and it drys fast.

no I don't have to feed from the back. For the lid there are going to be 6 pieces of glass. a 12'' piece for the front part and a 29'' piece for the back so I just have to slide the 12'' piece and feed from the front.
