600 and 280 gallon reset: getting back to my roots

picked up a few more plants. These are still in their baskets but decided to put them into the scape for now. They won’t cover as much ground while in the baskets since they usually come two to a basket, bunches up together. When I have more time I’ll have to remove them from the baskets and attach them to the wood and stone. Fish arriving this coming week. Can’t wait.

Great looking tanks! How do you keep algae in control?
Thank you. Tbh, I never have had an algae issue in either tank. Previously had a big flagtail in the 600 that grazed on the wood and kept it clean. Thinking of adding a few Leporinus into here and hope they’ll do the same.

Order from Dan at Cichlids of the Americas is in. Five Parachromis Loisellei (Friedrichshtali) and seven Darienheros Calobrensis. All packed well and healthy. Can’t wait until these settle in to their new 280 gallon home.
