Wow, big project. 2 things worry me a little though. Well, worry me a lot actually! You keep mentioning COPPER studs in the construction. Are these completely sealed from the tank water? It's just copper plus fish equals dead fish as far as I know. Correct me if I'm wrong.
The other thing that worries me is the front of the tank. How well supported/braced is it? From your pics it looks like it will blow out once full water pressure is applied to it. Again, hope I'm wrong, but had to ask!

And how are you going to access the tank with so little space above it..??

Congrats on all your hard work nonetheless - that's a lot of time, hard work and dedication right there.

And sorry about your Aro - that must have just doubled your costs as well as pissing you off....

Hope it all works out for you, I'll keep tuning in to see how you're doing.
I used copper pipe because it just happened to be the one readily available on hand that time and I didn't think that it will be poisonous to fish. I thought that all our tap water goes through copper pipe so it must be a stable metal. I am familiar with poisonous CU in its ionic form but I thought bonded copper is stable enough. They're even more concern with the lead that we use in soldering copper pipes rather that copper itself. When you mentioned it I did looked it up and sure enough there were some discusion of it being deadly to fish. I only used about 20 pcs of 1" copper to hold the styro on the side wall of the tank. Hopefully 2' of copper will not be that poisonous in aboput 900+ gallosn of water (main tank+ setling +tank sump tank). Plus I did coat if with epoxy resin, silicon was also on top of it to sick with the styro. plus the cement. hopefully that will be enough to seal it. But Thanks a lot for bringing that up because I was planning to use cupper couplings as the stand off for my subfloor. well actually I already bought 50 pcs of copper couplings good thing I havent gooped them in yet.

Regarding my front window I did not expect it to bow out that much. Its only being held by 2X3 on the outer edges. Theres nothing holding it at the inside of the tank. Its not sandwitched just the 2X3 to hold it fron the water pressure. I did not put any on the inside since it will just complicate the sealing of it. I don't think theres gonna be pressure pushing it in. I checked it last night with my 4 foot leveller/straight edge and there wasn't any bowing. the stright edge sits perfectly flat on the glass. Water is only about 8 inches below the top of the glassand about 5" below my target water level. Hopefully that additional 5" water will not do much bowing. Ill be putting another 2X6 on top of that 2X6 holding the glass plus a few more cross braces and 2X6's on top of the tank. I just want to test if frame will hold well as it is right now with out any top braces

I drained and cleaned the tank last night. Hopefully it will be dry enough for the epoxy coating tommorow. I probably wont tint the epoxy since it will be covered with algea anyway. and I can't find any dye for the resin.

Regarding my settling tank I will just be vacuuming it. I hooked up an abs pipe by a flexible hose. When I open the drain it will suck through the pipe and all I have to do is move the pipe around.

that elbow abs is not glued to the drain I just inserted it so it also turns around. The drain is already hooked up to the sewer pipe.
