Hi mike, not sure if Alan spoke to you the other day but got a friend with some great cichla for a steal. 15-18" monos (used to have one from this batch myself that I then gave to Alan, check out some of my old pics). 6 for £150 the lot! Let me know if you fancy it and if not anyone else with a serious size tank is welcome to contact me to get them.

best glass price to date is around 600, worst scenario is like, i'm not talking bollocks here, the 1500 mark :WHOA: :WHOA: :WHOA:
so i guess its gotta be the 600 quote. apart from that not done anything because have been working stupid hours past couple of weeks and can't be bothered to do anything when i get in.

£1500:WHOA::screwy:,hope you told them to foff.
Have you got prices from the aquarium manufacturers because i cant believe that.

Before deciding on our 900g i got a few prices around the same amount for an 8'5ftx 32"x28"high and including a 4ft sump and weirs and pipe work it was £1300 so how they can charge that is:screwy:.

That glass gold plated or something?! The 3 10mm thick windows on my build came to just over 80 quid all together, 1500 is just short of being 20 times more expensive!

i think he's talking bollocks. it hurts because he is cheap for supplying mirrors etc. for work. i am seriously bending towards acrylic. yeah it can potentially scratch, well i know it can, i have tried getting the scratches out, but unless something gets close to scratch it, it won't. it's half the money of my best quote for glass and................ dare i announce this............ but we have our first (fingers and toes and whatever else, its been a very rough ride, crossed) bambina on the way in like four months...........so i wanna get it glazed up...whatever. :)

got tomorrow off so gonna cut all the sections for the filter and seal them in. pics to follow
